The first steps in life are always the toughest. The decision to return to school is typically one of the most difficult decisions you will ever make because it is one that brings about tremendous change and uncertainty. “Changing your life” is much more than an action. It is a deep conviction—an unwavering commitment you make to yourself to be who you truly are and live the life you have always imagined. Change in any form causes uncertainty and often brings about a lot of anxiety for many people but the reward is much sweeter because of the challenge, because of the sacrifice. The best things in life require the greatest sacrifice. The journey of knowledge requires a great sacrifice of time which is often the most difficult to give, but we at American Health Institute challenge you to believe—even if only for a moment, that you can be something else, that you can make a difference, that you deserve a better life…believe in what you have to offer this world. Here, we believe in the ability of every person to make a change, to choose something different, to make a difference in this world. We believe in the personal strengths you will bring to the table; those that will enable you to find the path that is right for you; those that will keep you fighting when you want to quit; those that will help you rise when the challenge rings out and rise again when your name rings out at commencement; those that will help you find the position that will allow you to excel in the medical field and ultimately, change the lives of those around you forever.
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.” Robert Frost
Today, we challenge you to take the road less traveled…we challenge you to imagine, believe and become who you truly are…
